Bringing Information to the Citizens
Right to Information Act 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions to provide a– RTI Portal Gateway to the citizens for quick search of information on the details of first Appellate Authorities,PIOs etc. amongst others, besides access to RTI related information / disclosures published on the web by various Public Authorities under the government of India as well as the State Governments.
Objective of the Right to Information Act :
The basic object of the Right to Information Act is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the working of the Government, contain corruption, and make our democracy work for the people in real sense. It goes without saying that an informed citizen is better equipped to keep necessary vigil on the instruments of governance and make the government more accountable to the governed. The Act is a big step towards making the citizens informed about the activities of the Government.

Statutory declaration on RTI Act.:
Section 4(1) (b) of RTI Act, 2005 covers the statutory declaration of BILL GATES INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT, OSMANABAD website. It covers all the rules and regulations which are implemented by Government of Maharashtra.
This college is a college of co-education which is registered under society act by Gov. of Maharashtra and affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The college has a Governing Body. It runs as per rules and regulations made by the Govt. from time to time.
The College comes under. Non-grant (Self-finance) and financial transactions are audited. The college has different committees such as Anti- ragging, Internal (Compliant) Committee, Student Grievances and Redressal etc. to maintain the discipline in the campus.
All the cells or committees of the institution are under statutory Bodies and come under section 4 (1) (b) of RTI Act 2005. The application under the RTI Act along with a postal order/demand draft of Rs. 10.00 obtained in favor of Principal, BILL GATES INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND MANAGEMENT, OSMANABAD. may be sent to be the public information officer (PIO) or handed over in his office. All information about the college under section 4(1) (b) of RTI act 2005 is open for the public and it can be obtained by a citizen of India.
